The Latin pop sensation has the whole world talking again. His new song, "She Bangs," will blow your mind! Not only is the song catchy, the music video has made quite a stir! Ricky is still experimenting with new cultural sounds. He’s infused lots of percussion, catchy rhythms, and sex appeal, into his new Latin-flavored songs. His hot new music video, set in an underwater club, will excite anyone with a pulse. Ricky, on MTV’s "Making the Video" of "She Bangs," says that the video, "is made for believers. It’s about freedom and expressing yourself."

Ricky’s "Just do it" attitude is rooted in his soul from childhood. He has been performing and giving his all in his early years in his native Puerto Rico. He was part of the Spanish boy group, Menudo, until he grew too old to fit the boyhood image. During this time, he learned lessons about being in the limelight. He struck out on his own with several Spanish speaking albums. He was playing with many different sounds, trying to acquire his now famous image.

His last Spanish album, before his self-titled English debut (which included "Livin’ La Vida Loca"), won a Grammy in 1999. While the rest of the world knew about the hot Latin Lover, America had yet to have the pleasure. He shot to superstardom in the states with his energetic performance at the Grammy Awards. His song, "The Cup of Life," roused an otherwise lengthy, predictable telecast.

Madonna, who was promoting her own CD "Ray of Light," was so impressed with Ricky she insisted they sing a duet together. Included on his self-titled first English speaking album, along with "Livin’ La Vida Loca," Ricky took America by storm, kicking the radio stations into high gear. "Livin’ La Vida Loca" became the national anthem of Summer, 1999.

The next year, Ricky Martin went on his American tour, hitting such big places as Charlotte, NC, Washington, D.C, and Las Vegas, NV. From my own experience, Ricky is king when it comes to putting on a world class show! He makes the audience jump to their feet with his sizzling dance steps.

I have also had the pleasure of being a lucky audience member, in Charlotte, NC. Ricky fired up the stage with his charisma and awesome powertechnics. He opened the show with "Livin’ La Vida Loca," grooving on top of a vintage Mustang convertible! He made everyone scream, including my sister, mom, dad, and myself, with his gyrating hips and high-energy performance.

Not only has he given the music world something to talk about, but the fashion world as well! Ricky has inspired many new fashion trends. His clothes fit him like a hand in glove, contemporary and very flattering. Those linen or cotton shirts, close cut long-sleeved sweaters, and leather pants are the look-of-the-moment. Copycats of all ages walk, in style, along America streets! Golden highlights are also seen on more and more men of all ages.

Ricky Martin has it all; a powerful voice, wicked moves, sparkling talent and impeccable style. He’s hard to resist, so we should just stop trying!
